World Monuments Fund celebrated Marilyn Perry and Peter Marino at its 35th Annual Hadrian Gala

As chairman of WMF, Perry initiated the annual Hadrian award in 1988 to celebrate individuals who help preserve churches, cemeteries, libraries, temples, historic villages, gardens, and hundreds of imperiled places the world over. Applauded by 400 guests crowding into the New York Public Library, Perry received the same award once given to Mrs Vincent Astor, Paul Mellon, David Rockefeller, Jr., Prince Amyn Aga Khan, Frank Stella, Mica Ertegun, the Maharaja of Jodhpur, James D. Wolfensohn, Maryvonne Pinault, assorted kings and queens.
