All Hail Tinsley, a Very, Very Good Dog
Earlier this week New Hampshire State troopers spotted a stray Shiloh shepherd on Interstate 89 at the New Hampshire-Vermont border in Lebanon. When they approached the dog, they noticed she was acting odd.
“They could tell the dog was trying to show them something because she kept trying to get away from them but didn't run away totally,” said New Hampshire State Police Lt. Daniel Baldassarre. “It was kind of, 'Follow me. Follow me.'”
They followed, right into Vermont, to a damaged section of the guardrail near the Interstate 91 and Interstate 89 junction, and a totaled pickup truck. Inside the wreckage were two seriously injured men, one of them the shepherd’s owner. The third passenger was 1-year-old Tinsley, who had escaped the wreck unscathed.
Cam Laundry and the other passenger were treated at a local hospital and are recovering nicely, all thanks to Tinsley, the very, very good dog. “She’s my little guardian angel, you know,” Laundry told CNN affiliate WPTZ. “It’s a miracle that she had that kind of intelligence to do what she did.”
Laundry said Tinsley would be rewarded with venison burgers “and probably some back scratches with it."
They ask for so little and give so much. All hail Tinsley, truly a rescue dog.
